City of Fairbury City Council met June 16.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Jon Kinate, Gerald Hoffman, Lynn Dameron and Bill Schmidgall. Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton and Bruce Weber were absent.

4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Dameron, second by Kinate to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes from the June 2, 2021, council meeting
B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills

• The youth from the Building Future Leaders are painting the picnic tables
• The City is in compliance with OSHA

B. Motion by Kinate, second by Norris to approve Ordinance No. 2021-5 amending Chapter 5, Water, pertaining to rates and minimum gallons used. Motion carried 5-0. YES-Norris Kinate Hoffman Dameron Schmidgall

D. Motion by Schmidgall, second by Hoffman to accept a bid received from Iroquois Paving for the 1st to 4th Street Sewer project in the amount of $348,673.01. Motion carried 5-0. YES-Norris Kinate Hoffman Dameron Schmidgall
