Median home prices in Forrest rose to $139,000 in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Forrest rose by $64,250 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,000 - a 86% increase over the $74,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Forrest in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Forrest for 2017 was $2,110. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,077. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
