June 2018: Pontiac experienced a 14.2% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2018 in Pontiac fell by $13,912 while total sales increased by 162.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2018, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $84,000 - a 14.2% decrease over the $97,912 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Pontiac in June 2017.

The median sales tax in Pontiac for 2018 was $2,203. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,186. This marks an increase of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
