Pontiac median home prices rose by 10.3% in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Pontiac rose by $7,250 while total sales increased by 18.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $77,500 - a 10.3% increase over the $70,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Pontiac in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Pontiac for 2017 was $2,186. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,194. This marks an decrease of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
