Ace Hardware-Pontiac to give away American flags

Ace Hardware-Pontiac will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Illinois lost 1,436 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,854 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 203 E Livingston St, Pontiac will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Pontiac Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace Hardware-Pontiac while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Ace Hardware-Pontiac is located at 203 E Livingston St, Pontiac, Illinois. This location is owned by George W Preckwinkle, represented by Michael Metzger and managed by Tina Hammer.
