The Board of Education of Rooks Creek C.C.S.D. #425 held a regular board meeting at the school. School Board President Kristen Hinz called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Roll call: Elizabeth Alvey, present; John Grampp, present; Kristen Hinz, present; Steve Mattingly, absent; Abby Rinker, present; Kassandra Ryerson, present.
Superintendent Todd Bean, Scott Drilling and Jodi Minnaert were also present.
A motion was made by Elizabeth Alvey, seconded by John Grampp to approve the agenda. Voice vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by John Grampp, seconded by Kassandra Ryerson to approve the March minutes. Voice Vote. All Ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kassandra Ryerson, seconded by Abby Rinker to approve the March Treasurer’s Report. Roll call vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by John Grampp, seconded by Elizabeth Alvey to approve the April payment of bills. Roll call vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
Action Items:
A motion was made by Kristen Hinz, seconded by Kassandra Ryerson to nominate Elizabeth Alvey for Vice-President, John Grampp for Secretary and Treasurer. Voice vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
Old Business:
A motion was made by Kassandra Ryerson, seconded by Elizabeth Alvey to hire Melissa Haller at a $42,625.00 annual salary for the 2022-2023 school year. Roll call vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
New Business:
A motion was made by John Grampp, seconded by Abby Rinker to set a public hearing for Monday May 9, 2022 at 6:45 p.m. for e-Learning with regular meeting to follow. Voice vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by John Grampp, seconded by Kristen Hinz to approve raises for the non-certified staff as presented for the FY 23 school year. Roll call vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by John Grampp, seconded by Elizabeth Alvey to approve field trips as presented. Voice Vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kassandra Ryerson, seconded by Elizabeth Alvey to approve the Graduation Program as presented. Voice vote. All ayes. 1 absent. Motion carried.
