Median home prices in Bloomington rose to $189,500 in Q2

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Bloomington rose by $9,500 while total sales decreased by 21.5 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 361 homes sold, with a median sale price of $189,500 - a 5.3 percent increase over the $180,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 460 homes sold in Bloomington in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $3,866, approximately two percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
