Q2: Lexington experienced a 32.8% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Lexington rose by $42,100 while total sales increased by 7.7 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $170,600 - a 32.8 percent increase over the $128,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Lexington in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Lexington for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,698, approximately 2.2 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
