McLean County Zoning Board of Appeals met May 2.

CALL TO ORDER BY CHAIR

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

APPEARANCE BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ON NON-AGENDA RELATED TOPICS (An opportunity is provided for members of the public to address the public officials on matters not listed below. Public comment will not exceed 20 minutes. Each member of the public will be allowed 3 minutes of commentary.)

7:00 P.M. – Case ZA-23-02, an application of Phillip Hull in case ZA-23-02 on parcel 21-07-451- 002. He is requesting a map amendment to change the zoning classification from A Agriculture District to M-1 Restricted Manufacturing District on property in Bloomington Township immediately northwest of the intersection of Six Points Rd. and Interstate I-55/74. This is a recommendation to the County Board.

7:10 P.M. – Case ZA-23-03, an application of the McLean County Land Use & Development Committee in case ZA-23-03. This is a text amendment of the Zoning Ordinance of the Code of McLean County Chapter 350, Zoning Section 350-26. Definitions: to add a definition of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Sequestration Drilling; to amend Section 350-42. Use Table: to indicate which districts to allow Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Sequestration Drilling; and to amend Section 350-43. OO. Use Standards: to add use standards for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Sequestration Drilling. This is a recommendation to the County Board.

7:30 P.M. – Case ZA-23-01 is continued from the meeting on April 4, 2023, an application of the McLean County Zoning Board of Appeals in case ZA-23-01. This is a text amendment of the Zoning Ordinance of the Code of McLean County Chapter 350, Zoning Section 350-26. Definitions: to add a definition of a Battery Storage facility, a Solar Power Generating Facility and to amend the definition of a Major Utility.

And to amend Section 350-43. OO. Use Standards for a Major Utility including a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS), a Solar Power Generating Facility and to add use standards for a Battery Storage Facility. This is a recommendation to the County Board.
