Town of Normal Liquor Commission met June 5.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

1. CALL TO ORDER:

Liquor Commissioner Koos called the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission to order at 7:04 p.m., Monday June 5, 2023.

2. ROLL CALL:

The Secretary called the roll with the following persons physically

PRESENT: Commissioner Chris Koos and Commission Members Kathleen Lorenz, Andy Byars, Scott Preston, Karyn Smith, Chemberly Harris, and Kevin McCarthy.

ABSENT: None.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: SPECIAL MEETING – MAY 1, 2023: MOTION:

Mr. Preston moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, the Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission of May 1, 2023, be Approved.

AYES: Lorenz, Harris, Byars, Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

Liquor Commissioner Chris Koos noted that Item 8 was a duplicate of Item 4 and would not be considered for a vote.

4. 2023-24 LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION: VOLUME SERVICES, INC., d/b/a Sodexo Live!., 700 College Avenue, Normal, IL:

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Harris, recommending the approval of a Class N Liquor License to VOLUME SERVICES, INC., d/b/a Sodexo Live!, 700 College Avenue, Normal, Illinois.

AYES: Harris, Byars, Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

5. 2023-24 VIDEO GAMING APPLICATION: FIALA BROS BEER, LLC., d/b/a Fiala Brothers Brewery & Beer Hall, 127 E. Beaufort St., Normal, IL:

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Preston, recommending the approval of a Video Gaming License to FIALA BROS BEER, LLC, d/b/a Fiala Brothers Brewery & Beer Hall, 127 E. Beaufort Street, Normal, Illinois contingent on the payment of video gaming fees and any outstanding inspections from the McLean County Health Department, Normal Fire Inspections Division, or Normal Building Inspection Department.

AYES: Byars, Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Harris, Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

6. 2023-24 LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION: PROBODHAM HOTELS GROUP, LLC., d/b/a Clarion Hotel, 6 Traders Circle, Normal, IL:

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, recommending the approval of a Class E Liquor License Issuance to PROBODHAM HOTELS GROUP, LLC., d/b/a Clarion Pointe, 6 Traders Circle, Normal, Illinois, with stipulation the license not be issued until such time as we receive approved inspection reports from the McLean County Health Department, the Normal Fire Inspections Division, and the Normal Building Inspection Department.

AYES: Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Harris, Byars, Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

7. 2023-24 LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION: KCG Partnership, LLC., d/b/a Marie’s Place, 115 Susan Drive, Suite H, Normal, IL:

MOTION:

Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, recommending the approval of a Class C Liquor License to KCG Partnership, LLC., d/b/a Marie’s Place, 115 Susan Drive, Suite H, Normal, Illinois.

AYES: Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Harris, Byars, Smith Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

8. 2023-24 LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION: VOLUME SERVICES, INC., d/b/a Sodexo Live!, 700 College Avenue, Normal, IL:

9. ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business to come before the Commission, Commissioner Koos called for a Motion to Adjourn.

MOTION:

Mr. Preston moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy, the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission be Adjourned.

AYES: Byars, Smith, Preston, McCarthy, Lorenz, Harris, Koos.

NAYS: None.

Motion declared carried.

Commissioner Koos adjourned the Special Meeting of the Normal Local Liquor Control Commission at 7:06 p.m., Monday June 5, 2023.
