Desi Anderson, candidate for House District 91, announced a successful conclusion to the petition season, having collected 1,500 signatures from supporters within the 91st District. Anderson expressed gratitude to the dedicated team and volunteers who contributed to this achievement.

“1,500 Signatures have been collected here in the 91st District!!,” Anderson said on Facebook. “Petition season is officially done for team DESI!! Couldn’t do this without my guys, love you both!! and many THANKS goes out to those that helped circulate for DESI!!”

Anderson managed to hit the required number of signatures ahead of the deadline set by the State of Illinois. According to state regulations, petitions may be submitted to the County Clerk starting Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at 8:00 am, with the final day for submissions being Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Petitions can be submitted in person or by mail.

The accomplishment comes as part of the broader election season that commenced on Sep. 5. with candidates across Illinois collecting signatures for the Mar. 19 primary ballot. The 91st House District encompasses portions of McLean, Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties according to the new district map.
