Livingston County responsible for 29th-highest sales tax revenue in Illinois during November 2023

Livingston County taxpayers paid the 29th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2023, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Livingston County residents paid $579,902 in sales taxes during November 2023.

Livingston County ranked 34th in the Prairie State the month before, with $545,723 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Livingston County residents in November 2023.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
