State Representative Jason Bunting (il) | Representative Jason Bunting (R) 106th District
This week, a gathering took place at Senator Tom Bennett’s Youth Advisory Council, where students from 15 schools across the 53rd Senate District were in attendance. The event featured a speech by a State Representative who shared insights about their background and journey to becoming a State Representative. The representative urged the students to pursue their passions in future endeavors.
The council provided an opportunity for the students to engage in legislative activities. They were tasked with creating bill proposals within a limited timeframe of 30 minutes, working collaboratively as teams. At the conclusion of the session, participants voted on the best proposal.
The proposal that emerged victorious was titled "Safe Water Act."
