The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) held its annual postseason awards ceremony on May 20 in Lexington, Kentucky. Three members of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team received All-Region honors during the event.

Seniors Emma Thorman and Lexi Onsrud, along with junior Macy Ludwig, were recognized for their achievements on the golf course. Thorman, named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Golfer of the Year, maintained an average of 75.2 strokes per round across 22.5 rounds in 10 tournaments. She secured five top-five finishes and nine top-20 placements in all her events. This marks Thorman's third consecutive season earning all-region honors.

Onsrud also achieved all-region status for the third time in her career. During her final season with Illinois Wesleyan, she averaged 76.0 strokes per round over 10 tournaments, achieving four top-five finishes and three rounds of par-or-better.

Ludwig received all-region recognition for the second straight year. She competed in 10 tournaments with an average score of 76.4 strokes over 22.5 rounds and was noted for setting program records at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling.

The Illinois Wesleyan team is set to participate in the NCAA Division III National Championship starting today alongside teams from Redlands and Washington & Lee.

The WGCA has been recognizing outstanding collegiate golfers since its founding in 1983. The organization represents over 750 coaches nationwide, focusing on promoting women's collegiate golf while upholding educational values and intercollegiate competition traditions.
