Illinois Wesleyan University senior Lexi Onsrud has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Golfer of the Week. This marks the sixth time in her career and the first time this season that she has received this recognition, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, April 10.

Onsrud's performance at the WashU Spring Invite in Eureka, Missouri, led to her receiving this honor. Over the weekend of April 6-7, she played rounds of 71 and 77 at Crescent Farms Golf Club, a par-72 course measuring 5,745 yards. Her efforts helped Illinois Wesleyan secure the team title at the event. Onsrud finished third overall individually and achieved her third top-five finish of the season, marking the 31st such finish in her collegiate career.

This accolade is also significant for Illinois Wesleyan University as it represents their third weekly honor this season from CCIW. Notably, it follows Emma Thorman's recognition last week.

The Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team will continue their season by hosting the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling at Ironwood Golf Course over the weekend of April 13-14. The tournament will commence with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.
