The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team concluded the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season in sixth place. Two players from the team, Brody Seaton and Sam Kedzior, received All-CCIW second-team honors.
Brody Seaton, a senior center midfielder from Dunlap, Illinois, scored one goal during the season to earn his first All-CCIW recognition. He played a crucial role for the Titans by starting in seven out of eight CCIW games this year. His performance contributed to significant victories against teams like North Park and Millikin.
Sam Kedzior, serving as the primary goalkeeper for the Titans, also secured second-team accolades. The Cary, Illinois native was instrumental in securing a spot for the Titans in the CCIW tournament. Kedzior was named CCIW Defensive Player of the Week three times this season. He achieved 33 saves with two shutouts and started all eight CCIW games. He leads CCIW goalkeepers in saves percentage (.800) and shutouts per game (.286).
Additionally, senior Sasha Tylnyy from Wheeling, Illinois received IWU's CCIW RESPECT award.
Illinois Wesleyan is set to compete in the CCIW Tournament on Saturday evening, October 28. The Titans will face North Park in a quarterfinal match at Holmgren Athletic Complex at 5 p.m.
