The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team is set to face North Central College on Friday, April 12, before heading into a series of away matches beginning with Augustana College on Saturday, April 13. The match against North Central will commence at 4:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Racquet Club, while the contest against Augustana is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Lincoln Park.

Illinois Wesleyan aims to build on their current record of 9-4 overall and maintain their undefeated status in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with a 2-0 standing. In their latest encounter, they secured a victory over Millikin University with a score of 6-3 on April 6. Sophomore Ian Turnbull excelled in both singles and doubles matches, teaming up with senior Ryan McCoy for an impressive performance in doubles.

The upcoming match marks the 39th meeting between Illinois Wesleyan and North Central, with the Titans holding a historical advantage of 24-14 despite losing their last matchup on March 26, 2023. North Central recently triumphed over Augustana and holds a national ranking of 24th according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's poll.

On Saturday, Illinois Wesleyan will confront Augustana for the 37th time. Augustana leads the all-time series with a record of 27-9 and claimed victory in their most recent clash on March 24, 2023. The game will be notable as it features Sam Totten coaching against his alma mater where he had an illustrious playing career.
