The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team is set to travel to Orlando, Florida, for a series of matches during their spring break. The Titans, currently holding a record of 5-2, will compete in four matches over the span of four days from March 11 to March 14.
The team's schedule begins with a match against Colby-Sawyer College on Monday, March 11. This encounter marks the fourth meeting between the two teams, with Illinois Wesleyan leading the series 2-1. In their last face-off on March 14, 2023, Illinois Wesleyan narrowly defeated Colby-Sawyer with a score of 5-4. Notable performances came from Ryan McCoy and Ben Vigneri in doubles play and Ian Turnbull and Zeke Cross in singles.
On Tuesday, March 12, the Titans will have their first-ever match against Hampden-Sydney College followed by a contest against St. Norbert College later that day. Illinois Wesleyan previously faced St. Norbert back on February 8, 2003, securing a victory with a clean sweep of 7-0.
Concluding their trip on Thursday, March 14, Illinois Wesleyan will go up against Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) for the fourth time. Last year's matchup between these two teams took place in Florida as well and ended in favor of the Titans who triumphed with another close scoreline of 5-4.
