The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team is set to host its first-ever dual meet at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois. The event, scheduled for Friday, November 15, will see IWU face off against Millikin University. This marks a significant occasion as it is the team's debut in dual competition since the program's reintroduction in 2023.

Before the match begins at 7 p.m., seniors Omar AlQammaz, Leonardo Reyes, and Bobby Conroy will be recognized for their contributions to the team. The lineup for IWU includes freshmen Chandler Gardner, Evan Carel, Jackson Castaneda, Noah Passoni, and Elijah Villegas; sophomore Austin Johnston; and seniors Reyes, AlQammaz, and Conroy.

Recently competing at the Millikin Open on November 9, IWU saw ten wrestlers participate. Notably, Bobby Conroy and Evan Carel secured fourth-place finishes in their respective weight classes of 184 pounds and 149 pounds. Conroy achieved a record of 3-2 during the tournament.

Millikin University arrives with an undefeated record of 2-0 in dual meets after victories over Milwaukee School of Engineering and Elmhurst University. They currently share the top spot in league standings with North Central College.

The meet will commence with senior day recognition five minutes before the first match. The first 200 students attending will receive free rally towels. Results from the meet will be available on IWU's sports website following its conclusion.
