The Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling team is set to participate in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Duals on Saturday, January 25, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The event will be hosted by Carthage College at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center, beginning at noon.

Recently, eight wrestlers from IWU competed at the Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invitational on January 18. Sophomore Austin Johnston achieved a 2-2 record with victories by pin and decision. Freshmen Ameer Alamawi and Lucas Blanton, along with senior Omar AlQammaz, also secured wins during the competition.

Head coach Adam Richards plans to bring a full squad to the CCIW Duals. The team's schedule includes a noon match against Concordia University Wisconsin, followed by matches against Elmhurst University at 1:30 p.m. and Wheaton College at 3 p.m.

Currently, IWU holds a 0-4 record in regular season CCIW duals, just ahead of Wheaton's 0-5 record. North Central College leads the league with an undefeated 6-0 record but will not compete in this weekend's duals. Millikin University ranks second with a 5-1 record. Augustana College and Aurora University both have records of 2-1 in CCIW action; Milwaukee School of Engineering stands at 3-2; Elmhurst has a 3-3 record; Carthage College is at 3-4; and Concordia Wisconsin is slightly ahead of IWU with a 1-4 record.

A live stream of the meet will be available online, and final results will be posted on the men's and women's wrestling schedule pages after the event concludes.
