On Wednesday, two local students had the opportunity to serve as House pages at the Capitol. Paige Miller, a sophomore from Iroquois West High School, and Ainsley Urban, a junior from Watseka High School, spent the day meeting with members of the legislature, observing the House of Representatives in session, and exploring the state Capitol building.

Paige is involved in various activities at Iroquois West, including marching and jazz bands, concert and chamber choirs, and has a lead role in an upcoming school musical. She also participates in scholastic bowl, track, and golf.

Ainsley is active in FFA at Watseka High School. She plays softball and golf, is a member of the National Honor Society, participates in her school's math team, Key Club, and is involved with her church.

The visit provided both students with an insight into legislative processes and was described as a valuable experience for them.
