A pair of Illinois State men's tennis players were recognized with 2025 All-Summit League selections on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming Summit League Tennis Championships in Denver, Colorado.

Junior Tomas Valencia from Santiago, Chile, received All-Summit League First Team honors. Fellow junior Adrian Dibildox from Monterrey, Mexico, earned All-Summit League Honorable Mention.

Head coach Mark Klysner expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of both players. "What a great honor for these two young men. They have been consistent performers for our program over the years and so it's a great compliment that others in the conference recognize that as well. Couldn't be happier for them both!" Klysner stated.

This season, Valencia led the Redbirds at the top of the lineup. With a season record of 9-9 overall, he went 2-3 at the No. 1 singles spot in Summit League play, securing wins against Drake and Oral Roberts. In non-conference matches, Valencia secured victories against St. Joseph's, Eastern Illinois, Ball State, Northern Illinois, New Mexico State, Creighton, and Saint Louis, all at No. 1 singles.

Dibildox, also holding a 9-9 overall singles record in his third season, earned his first Summit League honors. In Summit League play, he recorded a 2-3 score with wins against Omaha and Oral Roberts, contributing to the Redbirds' qualification for the league championship.

The No. 4 seeded Redbirds are set to compete against the No. 1 seeded Denver Pioneers in the second semifinal of the Summit League Championships on Friday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
