Rep. Bunting is addressing key agricultural and road safety issues in Illinois. Alongside fellow lawmakers, he emphasized the need to reform the state's estate tax laws to protect family farms. He also discussed a resolution declaring Farm Safety Week and proposed legislation akin to Scott’s Law to enhance road safety around farm equipment.

On another front, National Safety Zone Awareness Week urges heightened caution in work zones to protect workers and travelers as Illinois enters its peak road construction season. This initiative reminds drivers to remain vigilant and abide by traffic laws to prevent accidents.

Meanwhile, House Bill 3332, which proposed the resentencing of certain convicted criminals, failed to pass in the Illinois House. “I voted No, as did several members of both parties. The bill did not pass,” stated Bunting, underscoring continued legislative efforts for public safety.

The week also saw the House Republican caucus hosting the Women to Watch event, acknowledging female leaders like Erin Fogarty and Jamie Bakken from the 106th District for their contributions.

Finally, Rep. Bunting highlighted the state's financial issues, noting a backlog of over $1.5 billion in unpaid bills, considerably higher than the previous year.
