City of Fairbury City Council met June 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Jon Kinate, Bruce Weber, Jim Tipton, and Bill Schmidgall. Charles Hoselton Jr and Jerry Hoffman were absent.

4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Tipton, second by Endres to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:

A. Minutes from June 4, 2025 council meeting

B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills

C. Treasurer’s Cash Report (second meeting of the month)

D. Check Register (second meeting of the month)

F. Overtime Report

A. Motion by Norris, second by Kinate to approve a request from the Dominy Library for a donation of 200 Daily Pool passes for their Summer Reading Program. Motion carried 6-0

B. Consideration to approve Project and OSLAD Grant services agreement with Farnsworth Group for future park acquisition and development. – TABLED

D. Motion by Endres, second by Schmidgall to approve quote for in car and body worn cameras for the Police Dept. Motion carried 6-0 YES- Norris Endres Kinate Weber Tipton Schmidgall
