The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team finished tenth at the Redbird Invitational, an event hosted by Illinois State University and held at Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Illinois. The Titans posted a final round score of 311 on the par-72, 6169-yard course, outperforming six Division I teams.
Eastern Kentucky secured first place in the tournament with a total score of 879. Karra Tucker from Eastern Kentucky earned individual medalist honors after finishing three-under par.
Junior Emily Gastrau and sophomore Gigi Zera led Illinois Wesleyan, both tying for 34th place with scores of 231 (+15). Junior Nora Cerroni recorded the team's best single-round performance on Monday with a two-over-par 74, placing her in a tie for 39th overall.
Illinois Wesleyan will host its next competition, the IWU Fall Classic, at Ironwood Golf Course from September 13 to 14.
