Aidan Healy, Golf Player | Illinois Wesleyan Titans Men's Golf
Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf senior Aidan Healy has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office on Wednesday, September 24. This is Healy's first time receiving this weekly honor, and it marks the second consecutive week that a member of the Titans has earned the award.
Healy was Illinois Wesleyan's top performer at the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite, which took place at Eau Claire Country Club in Wisconsin from September 14-15. Competing on a 6,855-yard, par-71 course, Healy posted a two-round score of 144, matching his career-best. He started with an opening round score of one-under-par 70 and followed with a final round score of one-over-par 72. These results led him to finish as runner-up individually, which is his highest placement so far in his collegiate career.
Healy led Illinois Wesleyan's 'B' squad to a second-place team finish at the event while the university's 'A' team secured first place overall.
The Titans are scheduled to compete next at the Wabash Invitational on October 6-7 at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.
