The Illinois State Athletics Department, together with the Town of Normal, has provided further details about the upcoming third annual Ballin' on Beaufort event. The event, presented by Bloomington-Normal Automall, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, and will be held on East Beaufort Street in Uptown Normal. The street section between the circle and Linden Street will be closed off for the occasion.

Ballin' on Beaufort is a free community gathering designed to highlight the Redbird men's and women's basketball teams as they prepare for the 2025–26 season. Activities begin at 5:00 p.m. with a fan festival that includes face painting, balloon art, merchandise sales, and booths hosted by Illinois State Athletics corporate partners. Children can participate in basketball activities on a sport court until 6:15 p.m.

From 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., attendees will have an opportunity to meet members of both basketball teams during an autograph session. Fans will receive collectible posters for signing. At 6:45 p.m., team introductions are scheduled to take place before various on-court competitions such as a trick shot challenge, shooting stars contest, and a three-point championship begin at 7:00 p.m.

Illinois State is working with local officials and businesses to ensure a secure and family-friendly environment throughout the event. "We kindly request that all Redbird fans show their respect for the security staff, Town of Normal personnel, and Illinois State staff in their collective efforts to uphold community safety," organizers stated.

Adults wishing to consume alcoholic beverages within the event area must wear an official wristband provided upon entry; glass bottles and cups are not allowed outside restaurant or bar premises.

Parking for Ballin' on Beaufort is complimentary in both Trail East and Trail West lots adjacent to East Beaufort Street. Additional street parking will be available around Uptown Normal on a first-come, first-served basis.
