Elise Fennell led Illinois State University at the Illini Women's Invitational, held at Medinah Country Club. Fennell achieved her second under-par round of the tournament and has now completed five rounds at or under par this season. This performance brings her career total to 19 such rounds, placing her fourth in school history and two behind Samantha Richdale for third place. In the final round, Fennell recorded four birdies and twelve pars for a score of 71, finishing tied for 19th.
Reagan Kennedy finished with a final-round score of 76, including one birdie and thirteen pars. Her overall score for the tournament was +6, tying her for 58th place individually. Dani Grace Schrock posted a final-round 78 with four birdies and concluded the event tied for 81st.
The team competition was won by UCF with a total score of 832. The rest of the top five included SMU (850), Auburn (851), Illinois (852), and Indiana (853). Other participating teams were Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Minnesota, Texas Tech, Charleston, Wisconsin, San Jose State, and Augusta.
Illinois State will finish its fall season next weekend at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State University at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
