The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team has advanced to fifth place in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll, released Friday, October 10. The Titans were previously ranked eighth in the national standings.

The team recently competed at the Wabash Invitational, held October 6-7 at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis. Illinois Wesleyan finished behind only Emory University, which holds the top spot in the current poll, and fourth-ranked Carnegie Mellon. Senior Aidan Healy led the Titans at the event, recording a six-under-par score of 210 and tying for third place. Healy has achieved two top-three finishes in four tournaments this season.

Emory University remains first in the poll, receiving 15 first-place votes and totaling 399 points. Methodist is second with 355 points, followed by Oglethorpe with 351, Carnegie Mellon with 344, and Illinois Wesleyan with 323. Other teams in the top ten include Huntingdon, Sewanee (which received one first-place vote), Washington and Lee, Aurora, and Kenyon.

Illinois Wesleyan will conclude the fall segment of its season at the Tartan Invitational, scheduled for October 14-15 at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
