City of Pontiac Infrastructure Committee met Sept. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Infrastructure Committee meeting was held on Tuesday September 9th, 2025 at City Hall.

Chairman Giovanini called to order the meeting at 5:00 pm

The City Administrator acted as the clerk and took roll, and the following members were present: Chairman Giovanini, Vice Chairman Wille, Barr and Bradshaw.

Also attending: Mayor Eckhoff, Alderman A. Hoerner and Director Knowles by phone.

Nuisance Ordinance

Discussion was held on the current nuisance ordinance and if any changes were needed to update the code. Director Knowles discussed the procedures for identifying, notifying, mitigating and enforcing the nuisance code and the building and property codes. It was determined that the volume of work is high, but all the pieces in place are acceptable from the code. The City Administrator advised that by the end of the month a plan will be laid out to assist the Director with code enforcement.
