The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team lost to North Park University, 4-3, in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match held Saturday morning in Chicago.

Illinois Wesleyan started strong by winning all three doubles matches. Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell defeated Emilia Sand and Katarina Sandberg, 7-5. Gabi Lipske and Katie Van Heuklon secured a 6-4 win over Alexandra Pugachova and Thea Gifvars at the No. 2 doubles position. Elana Religioso and Adia Douglas won their match against Jessica Dudas and Holly Chleboun at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, North Park claimed victories at the top four positions. However, Elana Religioso maintained her unbeaten singles record with a three-set win over Thea Gifvars at the No. 5 spot, finishing 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-4. Adia Douglas also earned a straight-set victory for Illinois Wesleyan at No. 6 singles, defeating Holly Chleboun 6-0, 6-1.

Illinois Wesleyan will conclude its fall season on Wednesday, October 15 against Elmhurst University at Evergreen Racquet Club with the first serve scheduled for 3 p.m.
