Other teams ahead of Illinois State include Memphis, Morehead State, West Georgia, Missouri State, Troy, UAB, Arkansas State, Samford, North Alabama, Utah Tech, Austin Peay, Mississippi College, Murray State, and Southern Illinois. Illinois State has a team total of 613 after 36 holes.
Elise Fennell is tied for 16th place. She began her day with a two-under-par 70 in the first round and followed up with a one-over-par 73 in the second round. Dani Grace Schrock is tied for 25th after shooting a four-over-par 76 and then matching her career-low round with a three-under-par 69. Reagan Kennedy is tied for 27th and recorded her first career round under par with an opening-round 71 before carding a three-over-par 75.
Newcomer Reagan Braker played her first round as a Redbird and finished with a two-round total of 179.
The final round will begin Tuesday morning with a shotgun start as Illinois State aims to improve its position on the leaderboard.
