The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team advanced in the standings after the second round of the Golfweek October Classic held at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Florida. The Titans recorded a team score of 310 on Monday, moving into a tie for 13th place with Cal Lutheran. The course measured 5,601 yards and played to a par of 72.

Junior Nora Cerroni led Illinois Wesleyan, posting a three-over-par 75 in the second round. She is tied for 12th overall at five-over-par through two rounds. Emily Gastrau, also a junior, sits in 39th place with a total score of 156 after two rounds. Freshman Julia Henry improved her performance with a second-round score of 77, moving up to 58th place.

Williams College and Hamilton College share the tournament lead at 18-over-par, holding a one-stroke advantage over Grinnell College. Randolph-Macon and Trinity are currently fourth and fifth respectively in the team standings. Natalie Catapano from Sewanee shot a five-under-par 67 to take the individual lead going into the final round.

The final round of the three-day tournament will begin Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
