The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams are preparing to compete in the Augustana Interregional race in Rock Island, Illinois, on Saturday, October 18. The event will take place at Saukie Golf Course, which will also host the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships later this season. The men's race is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11:45 a.m.

Senior runner, who is the reigning CCIW Runner of the Week, has had a notable senior season, winning three out of four events and earning four out of five possible CCIW Runner of the Week honors. She is set to compete at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Friday, October 17, with the race beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wisconsin.

In their most recent competition at the Dan Hutson Invite in Waverly, Iowa, on Saturday, October 4, the Illinois Wesleyan women's team finished seventh. Crabtree placed third individually, while freshman (Spring Grove, Ill.-Richmond Burton) came in 38th.

For the men's team, senior Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) was the top finisher, placing 58th with a time of 26:47.4 as the team finished 11th overall. Illinois Wesleyan will be among 62 teams competing this weekend, including CCIW rivals Augustana, Elmhurst, North Central, and Wheaton.

According to the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings released on Tuesday, October 14, the Titan women's team is ranked eighth in the Midwest region and remains the top CCIW team in the league, just ahead of ninth-ranked Wheaton. The University of Chicago continues to lead the region in seventh place.
