Chatsworth Fire Protection District responded to 18 calls in 2017 - 14.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Chatsworth included 17 fires - eight structure fires, one vehicle fire and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $768,000 in fire loss - or about $45,176 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Chatsworth Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $95,185 in 2017.
