City of Leroy issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
Area Disposal has been contracted by the City to pick up refuse on a weekly basis, bulk waste pick-up and for curbside recycling, which is picked up on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.
View the 2018 Pickup Schedule here. The City pays Area Disposal on a monthly basis and bills end users. Area Disposal will only collect garbage that is placed and fits into the approved container.
Pickup begins at 6:00 a.m. Toters may be put out the night before an should be away from the curb by the next day.

Electronics Recycling Information
NOTE: Styrofoam is not recyclable. Please put in trash containers only.
Please be aware that refuse haulers are only able to remove trash in the containers provided by Area Disposal. Please refer to the photo on the right or the toter lid for instructions on proper street placement with arrows facing the street.
Additional toters can be purchased or rented through Area Disposal at 800-935-5652.
For residents who have not yet taken advantage of the Curbside Recycling Program, recycling toters can also be requested by calling City Hall 309-962-3031.
