Report: Cornell spent $10,878 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Cornell Community Consolidated School District 426 is down 15.2 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Livingston County school district spent $12,824 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,878 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 113 to 108.

Cornell's spending in 2017-18 was 18.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
