Report: Lexington spent $11,486 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lexington Community Unit School District 7 is down 17 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $13,837 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,486 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 515 to 504.

Lexington's spending in 2017-18 was 13.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
