Analysis: Pontiac administrators rank 362nd in state for average pay

Administrators in Pontiac Township High School District 90 earn an average of $102,169 per year, ranking 362nd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a McLean County Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 5.8% higher than in 2014 and 4.4% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 4.8% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Livingston County school district enrolled 651 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 163 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
