City of Pontiac issued the following announcement on March 1.
Republic Services has been contracted by the City of Pontiac to provide city-wide residential recycling and waste collection. As part of the program, all residents will receive one (1) new 95-gallon container to be used weekly waste pickup and one (1) new 95-gallon container to be used for every other week recycling pickup.
Weekly waste collection will occur every Monday through Friday, and recycling will occur every other week Monday through Friday. On holidays, collection will shift to the next day.
