The Golf Coaches Association of America has announced the PING Division III All-American teams, with Illinois Wesleyan University golfers Griffin Pohl and Michael Spitzer being named Second Team All-Americans. This recognition places IWU among the top schools nationally, with two players selected.

Griffin Pohl, who previously received an honorable mention, achieved his second consecutive All-American title after a successful senior year. He was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Golfer of the Year and ranked 13th in Division III by Clippd. Pohl maintained an average of 71.0 strokes per round across 11 tournaments, securing four top-three finishes. At the NCAA Championship, he placed seventh at two-over par over four rounds. His first career win came at the Wabash College Fall Invitational. Additionally, he earned All-CCIW status with a runner-up finish at the CCIW Championship and recorded six top-10 finishes throughout the season.

Michael Spitzer also advanced from an honorable mention in 2024 to a second team selection this year. The junior from Hinsdale held a scoring average of 70.9 strokes per round over 11 tournaments and ranked 19th in Division III according to Clippd. Spitzer won both the Heartland Fall Invite and the individual title at the CCIW Championship, ending the year with five top-10 finishes. He finished 14th at the NCAA Championship and was recognized as an All-CCIW and all-region performer.

The efforts of Pohl and Spitzer contributed significantly to one of IWU's best seasons ever, winning five tournaments overall and achieving their best NCAA Championship performance since their national title win in 2021.
