CITY OF BLOOMINGTON: City to Host ServLine Learning Opportunities

Paneldiscussion

City of Bloomington issued the following announcement on April 2.

The City of Bloomington will host two upcoming learning opportunities for residents about the new ServLine program. Staff will be available to answer questions about the program at the Mayor’s Open House on Friday, April 5 at 4:30 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall. Staff will also hold a Lunch-N-Learn on the topic for interested residents on Tuesday, April 9 from 12-1 pm, also in Council Chambers at City Hall.

The City is expanding its residential water and sewer leak coverage through the new ServLine program and providing residential customers the opportunity to add water line and/or sewer lateral repair and replacement coverage. Commercial and industrial accounts are not eligible to enroll in these programs.

Qualifying residential customers are automatically protected by the Leak Protection Program. This is the only way residential leaks that occur after May 1st, 2019 will be adjusted. Customers can enroll in the Line and/or Lateral Protection Programs to avoid service line repair or replacement costs. There is a 30-day waiting period for those who enroll after May 1st, 2019.

An information flyer about the ServLine program can be found here.
