Bloomington home prices rise in June 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2017 in Bloomington rose by $9,100 while total sales decreased by 15.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2017, there were 163 homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,500 - a 6.1% increase over the $149,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 193 homes sold in Bloomington in June 2016.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for 2017 was $3,769. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,784. This marks an decrease of 0.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
