McLean County Finance Committee met March 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Chairman Jim Soeldner Members Chuck Erickson, Catherine Metsker, Laurie Wollrab, Carlo Robustelli, Jacob Beard and Scott Murphy 

Members Absent: None

Other Members Present:

Staff Present: Mr. Bill Wasson, County Administrator, Eric Schmitt, Administrative Services Director; Ms. Jessica Woods, First Assistant State Attorney – Civil, Julie Morlock Recording Secretary

Elected Officials/Others Present: None

Chairman Soeldner called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.

Chairman Soeldner asked for a motion to go into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to 5ILCS 120/2(C)(11) of the Open Meetings Act for the purpose of discussing Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.

Motion by Metsker/Wollrab to go into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to 5ILCS 120/2(C)(11) of the Open Meetings Act for the purpose of discussing Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.

Motion Carried.

Finance Committee entered closed session at 5:06 p.m. Finance Committee entered open session at 5:09 p.m.

Chairman Soeldner presented a request to approve Settlement terms for 2019-WC-1.

Motion by Robustelli/Beard to approve Settlement terms for 2019-WC-1. Motion Carried.

Chairman Soeldner presented for action a request to approve a resolution dissolving the County Clerk Revenue Stamp Fund. Mr. Wasson indicated that Fund was used to pay for revenue stamps we were required to go to Springfield to purchase to apply to documents Minutes of Special Meeting of the Finance Committee March 19, 2019 recorded in McLean County, but since that is no longer the process we can close this Fund and return the money to the General Fund.

Motion by Metsker/Beard to recommend approval a Resolution dissolving the County Clerk Revenue Stamp Fund.

Motion Carried.

Chairman Soeldner asked if there was anything else to come before the Committee; hearing nothing, he adjourned the Special Finance Committee Meeting at 5:12 p.m.
