Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McLean County?

There were 51 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in McLean County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McLean County Times.

The data shows that 47 men and four women were released in McLean County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Eric Buckner. He was convicted of homicide in 1997 when he was 18 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each McLean County municipality.
