ILLINOIS STATE SENATE DISTRICT 38: Rezin reacts to Gov.’s signature on extreme abortion bill: “Sad day in Illinois” (38th)

Court room

Illinois State Senate District 38 issued the following announcement on June 12.

State Senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris) released the statement below following the Governor signing Senate Bill 25, which allows for late term abortions up to nine month of pregnancy for any reason including sex selection and allows for partial birth abortions.

“Taking away all remaining rights for the unborn is not something we should be celebrating. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. This law is extreme and unsettling. Today is a sad day in Illinois.”
