2018 Recap: Parolees in Bloomington convicted of homicide
The data shows that both of the released offenders in Bloomington were women. The younger parolee was a 25-year-old woman sentenced in 2017. The other was a 62-year-old woman sentenced in 2016.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Doreen Rodgers. She was convicted of homicide in 2016 when she was 60 years old. She is now 62.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
