I will be joining with Senator Chris Balkema and Representative Dennis Tipsword for a Facebook Live town hall on Monday night at 6 p.m.

"We will be taking your questions and discussing the recently-concluded spring session of the Illinois General Assembly," said Rep. Bunting.

"This spring the General Assembly passed a $55 billion state budget, and dealt with numerous other issues, while leaving some issues unresolved. There is a lot to talk about from the spring session."

Rep. Bunting encourages residents to submit their questions online for discussion during the event.

The deadline for students in kindergarten through fifth grade in the 106th district to participate in Rep. Bunting's summer reading program is July 31. "Thank you to everyone who has participated in my Level Up at Your Library summer reading program!" he expressed gratitude towards participants.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution on rural roads as cornfields may block visibility at intersections due to their height, which can reach over seven feet by early July.

"Please 'look twice' before proceeding through intersections on rural roads and highways," urged Rep. Bunting.

The Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau hosted an Adopt-a-Legislator event this month, inviting legislators from urban areas to visit rural districts. "Thank you to the Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau for hosting the Adopted Legislator Event this month!" said Rep. Bunting.

"It was a great opportunity to tour Heritage FS, Inc. in Gilman and One Earth Energy in Gibson City," he added, hoping that Senator Meg Loughran Cappel found it informative.

The current backlog of unpaid bills submitted to the Illinois Comptroller stands at $2,059,104,406, excluding unfunded debts like pension liabilities exceeding $100 billion.
