Village of McLean Village Board met April 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Motion by Billington 2nd Hendrickson to appoint VanDyke acting President in the absence of Hammel. All ayes, motion carried. ROLL CALL-Johnson, Hendrickson, Billington and VanDyke. Absent: Hawkins. Also present: Attorney Mark McGrath, Treasurer Karen Williams, Chief Chris Lane and Greg Rutherford. Visitors: Don Doty, Helen Doty, Mandy Webster, Jane Price, Tom Ludlam, Alex Harris, Jim Harris and Virgil Isringhausen.

Motion by Hendrickson 2nd Billington to approve minutes as amended. All ayes, motion carried. Absent: Hawkins.

Motion by Shifflet 2nd Hendrickson to accept bills as presented. ROLL CALL-VanDyke,

Johnson, Hendrickson, Shifflet and Billington. All ayes, motion carried. Absent: Hawkins.

PUBLIC INPUT: Mandy Webster asked about the trains blocking the crossing. It was stated that there is a number on the gray building that people can call to complain about this.

POLICE: Monthly report was given to each board member. Lane stated that a grant has been applied for the radios. Also, the new vehicle has been ordered. Lane stated that the Bike Safety class last week at the Park District went well. There will be a “Drug Take Back” on Sat. April 27, 2019 at the Police Station from 10:00am-2:00pm.

PUBLIC WORKS; Arsenic Report was 9.4.

DEPOT PHASED PLAN: Rutherford reported that concrete on east corner of lot has been poured. He also stated that he needs suggestions on what would go on the sign at the Depot. Rutherford has prices on 5 trees. He also has spoken with Kent Seaman about an awning.

NEW BUSINESS: Williams stated that there is one new computer.

McGrath stated that a title search for the old Pump House has been ordered and the property needs to be appraised. Alex & Jim Harris told the board their plans are not finalized for this property but possibly a 2 story Morton building with retail on ground floor and apartment on top.

FENCE PERMIT: 309 S. Blatchford is only 3” off property line. McGrath suggested to have it put on next months agenda to consider adopting at least a 24” setback

Motion by Johnson 2nd Hendrickson to approve stenciling on the Rt. 66 streets(Carlisle &

S. East Sts) as approved by the Public Works Supt. ROLL CALL-Johnson, Hendrickson, Shifflet, Billington and VanDyke. All ayes, motion carried. Absent: Hawkins.

Motion by Billington 2nd Shifflet to adjourned meeting. All ayes, motion carried. Absent: Hawkins. Meeting adjourned at 7:30pm.
