Normal home prices rise in October 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2018 in Normal rose by $8,500 while total sales decreased by 18.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2018, there were 49 homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,500 - a 5.7% increase over the $150,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 60 homes sold in Normal in October 2017.

The median sales tax in Normal for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,912, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for October 2018.
